Conceive it, at least attempt it. Whatever IT may be.

About Me

“It’s always nice to really get to know the person you’re secretly admiring.” –Daydream Mom

My name is Jess. I’m a mom. Growing up I always had delusions of grandeur dreams of being a successful entrepreneur. One day that dream will be a reality.

I’m an early childhood educator to 1 year olds. Did I mention I was a  mom? Oh yes.. to a 1-year-old!

The most asked question: “Is it hard working with the same age group as your son?”

Truthfully? No.

I look at it more like a rat lab where I get to implement various developmentally appropriate activities on willing subjects (my son and my students) to see which ones are a success and which ones I can pitch. And not that children are rats. They’re just smart like that.

And no children are harmed. They just end up cultured.

Essentially that is all early childhood education is. Especially from a psychologist’s point of view (think Erikson).

I taught my son American Sign Language when he was 9 months old. By 18 months old he was speaking in 2 word phrases. At nearly 2 he speaks in paragraphs.

I go to school online. Don’t turn your nose up at me. This shit is HARD! You try pushing out 2+ assignments per class PER week and maintain a 4.0 GPA.

I have an incessant need to create. As a preteen I’d rearrange my bedroom daily. No, really. Daily!

My motto has always been “They want how much for that?! I can make that!”  And one day I’ll get paid for doing just that. Hobbies.

My mom thinks I have ADD. My son’s father thinks I’m bipolar. They just might both be right.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and adore learning a lot more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with much more details? It truly is very useful for me.
